LLOYD S. KING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
WOODLAND CULTURAL CENTRE
The tour of the former Mohawk Institute Residential School, gives the history of the school from when it opened in 1831, until it closed in 1970. Guided by Geronimo Henry, who spent 11 years here, guests will hear his personal story while walking through the different rooms in the school, from the meeting room, the girls’ and boys’ dorms, the third floor, cafeteria, and various rooms in the basement.
